The Legend Of The Mid-Autumn Festival

(We have been learning about the chinese moon festival and how to copy and paste a photo)

Once upon a time in Ancient China 10 Suns arose at the same time. The people couldn’t bear the heat. It was too hot and the plants and crops started dying from getting too dry.

One day a brave man, Hou yi helped the emperor shoot down 9 of the 10 suns. It left only 1 sun.

The emperor gave Hou yi an elixir so that he could live forever. Later he married a beautiful and kind woman named Chang’e.

Hou yi and Chang’e lived a great life. 1 day Chang’e secretly ate the elixir. 

Later Chang’e drifted up into the sky and became the moon. She was also accompanied by a white rabbit.

This is how the chinese moon festival began.

My Charismatic Mother

In Room 2 we have been learning about our
unsung heroes and our families.

My mother is the most KINDEST out of all
mothers. She is also REALLY comfortable to
hug. She’s SO beautiful. My mother is really
good at cooking. She’s fair and SUPER trust
worthy. She lets me go with her when she’s
going anywhere EXCITING.
She’s also FILLED with JOY and
HAPPINESS. My Mum is the most HONEST 
Mum in THE WORLD. She’s cares A LOT .
I want to act like her when I grow up.
But most of all she is THE BEST!!! 

All About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Ayla. I go to Christ the King School. I am in Year 4. I am New Zealand, Samoan and a bit Chinese. My parents are Samoan and New Zealanders. My dad is also a bit Chinese too. I have three older brothers and I am the youngest in my family. The youngest brother in my family, is Aden. He is my twin brother. My other brothers are  Lawson and Astyn.

In Maths I am learning equivalent fractions. In writing we’re doing persuasive writing. For RE we are focused on the Holy Spirit.  In art we are using positive words and rewriting them graffiti writing. After that we have to write about why we chose that word. I chose Bold. I enjoy art. My goal for this year is to be the best student I can be.

One person who inspires me is my best friend Aadirai. Another three people who inspire me are Miss Goodier Miss VK and Rocio.
